Jordan Chiles is an American artistic gymnast who was born on April 15, 2001, in Tualatin, Oregon. She started gymnastics at the age of six and was coached by her mother, Gina Chiles. She later joined the Naydenov Gymnastics Club in Vancouver, Washington, where she was coached by the Bulgarian-born gymnastics coach, Dimitriy Naydenov.
Early Career:
Jordan Chiles started competing at the junior elite level in 2014, where she won the all-around and floor exercise titles at the American Classic. She then went on to compete at the U.S. Classic, where she won a silver medal on floor exercise and a bronze medal on vault. She also competed at the Secret U.S. Classic, where she placed sixth in the all-around.
In 2015, Jordan Chiles competed at the U.S. Classic and the P&G Championships, where she placed seventh and tenth in the all-around, respectively. She also won a silver medal on floor exercise at the P&G Championships.
International Career:
Jordan Chiles made her international debut in 2016, where she competed at the Pacific Rim Championships in Everett, Washington. She won a silver medal in the team competition and a bronze medal on floor exercise.
In 2017, Jordan Chiles competed at the City of Jesolo Trophy in Italy, where she won a silver medal in the team competition and a bronze medal on floor exercise. She also competed at the U.S. Classic and the P&G Championships, where she placed ninth and eighth in the all-around, respectively.
In 2018, Jordan Chiles competed at the Pacific Rim Championships in Colombia, where she won gold medals in the team competition and on vault and floor exercise. She also competed at the U.S. Classic and the P&G Championships, where she placed fourth and fifth in the all-around, respectively.
Jordan Chiles was named to the U.S. National Team in 2018, and she competed at the World Championships in Doha, Qatar, where she helped the U.S. team win a gold medal. She also competed in the all-around and finished in 11th place.

2020 Olympics:
Jordan Chiles was named to the U.S. Olympic gymnastics team in 2021, and she competed at the Tokyo Olympics. She helped the U.S. team win a silver medal in the team competition and also competed in the all-around, where she finished in sixth place.
Post-Olympics:
Jordan Chiles announced that she will be attending UCLA and will be competing for the Bruins gymnastics team in 2022. She also announced that she will be taking a break from elite gymnastics to focus on her education.
